I found a home for the 14 chickies that hatched last Monday. A girl at work was going to buy some chickens so I gave all of the peepers to her. Her husband had just built a mack daddy coop so they are going to a good place. Bobby got two of our hens cooped up now and we have 3 more hens to catch along with the 6 rowdy roosters. Hard to believe that my chickens are only 7 months old and already hatching their own chicks.
I didn't get to ride this weekend because the rain never stopped long enough to get out for a couple of hours. Hopefully I'll get to ride on the beach with a couple of friends next Saturday afternoon.

Hooray for finding them a new home! I would love to have some chickens, but not with out a good coup. My in law's dog likes to eat birds......
Hope you got your ride in!
That's great news. So what is a 'mack daddy coop'?
None of my hens ever go broody long enough to hath anything out. I do have my Silky pair that I hope to keep seperate so they can hatch out some more silkies for sale one day, though. Silkies are notorious for going broody.
A ride on the beach. Def. on my bucket list! :)
Have fun!

ps You asked about my leg and caping. It's been a little awkward, mainly upon trying to stand. My other knee takes all the weight and odd angle, so it's been a little sore.
Thanks for asking. ;)
They are so cute. Glad you found homes for them.
Can't wait to hit the trails myself. Feel like I am going through withdrawls.
