My daughter, Jenny, and I went for a nice ride today. She rides Maybe who is the daughter of my horse Stylin. We rode at Black Creek Ravines and almost had the place all to ourselves. We talked to a man walking his dog and then a nice guy who had been kayaking down the creek took this picture of us when he and his sons stopped for lunch. We don't get a chance to ride together very often so this was a real treat. We topped the ride off by sharing a sub sandwich and a cold beer. Plus.....she bought me a new camera for Christmas !!

That's so great for you to have been able to spend such a nice afternoon with your daughter and horses...and with the entire park almost to yourselves. Perfect!
Maybe is really gorgeous! Her mane is so long and beautifully well-kept.
Congrats on the new camera, too. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you,

It's so nice that you two got to spend some riding time together. I can't wait to do that!!
And Maybe sure does have a fantastic mane! Incredible. And how much fun to have a new camera!! What a great daughter!!
Merry Christmas!!
I've got a question for you. I noticed the boots on Stylin' and blew up the photo to see what kind they are. They have velcro straps, so I know they aren't the same brand I use, but I do see that you've got gaiters on the hind legs. My husband just got me four pair of Easyboot Epics with the gaiters that wrap around above the hoof. Do those rub at all? It's looking like I won't be able to try mine out until spring.
The boots I use now for Stylin are the Simple Boots from Cavallo. I love them - they are definitely easy on and off and I have put them through the test. I used to use Boa Boots, but the wires had to be replaced pretty often. I couldn't use the pastern wraps on the front this past ride because her hooves need to be rasped a little.
