Bobby and I worked in the yard all weekend. We rode with friends in Cary Forest Friday night, but all day Saturday and after church on Sunday, we busted it to make our place look presentable. Powerwashed the outside, pulled vines from the portico, patched the stall roofs, rehung a stall door, raked and seeded the back yard with Argentine Bahia, replanted some greenery. Whew ! Bobby worked so hard I was afraid he might get heat stroke.
Also, on Saturday, my old friend Gale and her youngest daughter Katie stopped by for about an hour. We hugged and chatted like it hadn't been since
1978 since we had actually seen each other! It was wonderful to see her and hear how well she and her family are doing on their dream farm in East Tennessee.
